Changes are coming

Changes with the website are coming so I am going to hold off with another blog post until things have settled!

As with anything in life, things in the book world change rapidly! I haven't been able to get a book store in Richmond, Virginia or Washington D.C. to commit to a signing event so I knocked on a few more doors here in Denver. I will be doing a book signing at The Bookery Nook in Denver in March. I have put the date on my website calendar. I will also be appearing at The Boulder Bookstore in Boulder, Colorado in May. For those of you anxiously awaiting my next book, the cover design for Child's Wrath is almost finished. When I have the final design, I will be updating the website so that you can check it out!

New publisher

Just wanted to pass along that I've found a new publisher and the first of a few fiction novels will be available in the spring of 2010. Though originally intended to be the second fiction book, Child's Wrath went from "on deck" to "batter up" as I continue to work on Blue Skies Bleed Green, which is slowly turning into the book that I'm never happy with, but then there's always one, right?
For those of you in the Richmond, VA area, I am currently in the process of setting up a book event for Beautiful Hardship: My Story so get your copy and bring it to the signing! I am also trying to find a bookstore in Washington DC to host an event, but with so many of the independent bookstores succumbing to the woes of the economy, it is turning out to be a difficult task! Keep those book reviews coming....amazon and goodreads.com are the best places to post.
Congrats to the winners of the free giveaway of Beautiful Hardship on goodreads.com!
Happy Holidays to all! and to the FOX news correspondent who keeps calling...YES, I had an affair with Tiger, but it was all about the money!

September 13, 2009

Funny, I didn't even realize the date until just now. Eight years ago I packed everything I owned and moved into my car. I was scared to death then, but now I look at it with a bit of lightheartedness. My situation has changed since that day, yet life's little tests keep coming my way. I've been furloughed for over a year now, but somehow always end up on my feet. I consider myself lucky to have a job. So many in this industry don't. Can I go back and change a few things? I should have been a doctor, but then where's the fun in that? Where would I have gotten all those cute little stories about life if I hadn't fallen down a few times? Eight years ago, seems like a life time.
I'm currently hard at work looking for another publisher. It's a slow process so for those of you asking about my next book, please be patient.

Clinton, Iowa

Thanks to all of you who made it out to the signing at Guzzardo's in Clinton, Iowa. I had a great time! It was alot of fun seeing people that I haven't seen in years. For those who missed it, have no fear! I am currently in talks with Barnes and Noble in the Quad Cities about signing books at their location. I may be back in September to do it all again.
Special thanks to Steve Martens at the Quad City times, Angie Bicker at the Clinton Herald and Greg, Gary and everyone at KROS Radio and of course Kate and the rest of the staff at Guzzardo's! I can't make this book a success without surrounding myself with good people and that includes my girlfriend Faith! She takes care of the details that I always seem to miss...lol.

Aug 10. 2009

I can't thank everyone enough for the support I have received as advance sales of my book continue steadily. Reviews are showing up on amazon.com as well as goodreads.com. Reviews are everything and to those of you who posted them; my sincerest gratitude!
I am currently gearing up for the book signing in Clinton, Iowa on August 15th and looking forward to seeing all of you that I have been in contact with on Facebook. It's always nice to come home and even though there are events that I talked about in Beautiful Hardship: My Story that would lead one to believe the opposite, I can assure you that coming home is always something I look forward to. This trip will be a little bit more personal and certainly more special.
A big thanks to Kate Littrell at Guzzardo's for allowing me to have a place for the signing!

Thanks

I can't thank everyone enough for the support you've shown by purchasing Beautiful Hardship: My Story. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about having my life out there for the critics, but the whole point of the book was to help someone that may be in a desperate situation looking for a way out so let the critics come. The only other reason to write it was to make you giggle at someone other than yourself for a while! Thanks again! Oh and for those of you in the hometown Iowa area. I am setting up a book signing in Clinton, Iowa at Guzzardo's Book Nook on Saturday August 15th. Watch for it on my calendar once it's made official!
